Ruth's Redemption Anticipated

The Redemption of Ruth - Message 1 - Ruth's Redemption Anticipated. The first chapter of the Book of Ruth introduces us to the family if Elimilech. He and his wife Naomi, and their sons Mahlon and Chilion, leave Israel during a famine and travel to the pagan land of Moab. Instead of trusting God and seeking Him for provision, they raise their sons away from the people of God. In time, Elimilech died. Then Naomi's sons married Moabites women in direct disobedience to God's Word. In ten years time both of these sons died as well, leaving Naomi a foreigner in a foreign land, widowed with two daughters-in-law. Ruth's love and commitment to Naomi is the first step in revealing the sovereign hand of God in the affairs of sinful people, working things for His glory!
