History's Oldest Man and His Son

The Biblical narrative regarding Methuselah is brief, but the short record of his life is full of great importance. Not only did Methuselah live longer than any other person in the history of the world, but his death in the very year when the Great Flood came upon the world was a direct reflection of his father's prophecy. Through all of his long life, Methuselah waited for the intervention of God to deal with a wicked age, but knew that he would have to die before that judgment would fall.
