Ephesians-part 17
Series Ephesians-J.Whittles
We move on to Ephesians 1:9,10 seeing that all of God's divine plan is summed up in Christ. In looking at verses that confirm the summing up of all things in Christ, we examine some positions that are held from these verses and then show that the rest of scripture does not confirm these ideas when the who council of scripture is brought to bear on them. The first is Arianism, the belief that Jesus Christ is not co-eternal with the Father and therefore created. The is a heresy that was rejected in 325AD. The second is Universalism, the belief that in the end everyone will be save. This is much more prevalent in Christianity than one might think and is also refuted by close examination of scripture.
