The question of Christmas is the question of Christianity. Why is Jesus such a big deal? The origin of Christmas is found in foolishness. But the value of Christmas is found in sincerity. There was an aim, a goal in establishing a Christmas holiday. What was that aim? Hope! The Hypostatic union. Contained within is all of Christianity. Hypostatic means a placing under. Union is two things bound together. So the hypostatic union is two foundations, two substances bound together. The term, when used theologically refers to Jesus. Jesus has two natures, two substances that are bound together. And those two substances or natures are the divine nature and the human nature.

The mystery of godliness thus begins with the dual nature of Christ Jesus.
