The Lord Is Not Slow

Peter is teaching us that Jesus is returning, in spite of the gainsayers. and wickedness is no part of the Christian lifestyle.To us what may seem a long time, is not such from Go'd perspective. His timing is from an eternal perspective outside the framework of time, and Christ will return at the exact moment ordained by God. His promise to return is always fresh on his mind. The universe operates on God's time schedule, not mankind's. The Lord is waiting until all his elect come to repentance before he brings down the curtain of human history. Our task as believers is to be patient, be active, and to warn others to prepare for the certain return of Christ.
