A Child is Born

Jesus came out of Galilee where there were many Gentiles. He came as a Savior, but also as a warrior against the turmoil of this world. Restoration is seen through Jesus, who carries us like the shepherd carrying the sheep. He is sufficient to carry the burdens of His people.
Through the reading of Isaiah, we see the names given to Christ: wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Each of these is represented through Christ. We are in Christ because of God's work through the covenant of grace.
