Nevertheless

Judges 2 sets out the theme of the book of Judges; a theme of human sin and God's grace. We see the weeping of the people, the wickedness of the people that sets off the abounding grace of God, and God's wrath against sin, either wrath to come or the wrath that has been borne by Christ upon the cross.
