I AM part 16 - I AM the Resurrection and the Life 5

We look at the seven I AM statements from Christ. These attest to His Divinity. They are tied to the I AM of Exodus 3:13 where God reveals his name to Moses. This the name of God who is delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Jesus reveals himself in the Gospel of John through seven I AM claims of who he is. This week we see that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We look at verses the show that Christ being the way is narrow and requires a change of life. As followers of the Way (Christ) we will face trials to purify and strengthen us in our reliance on him. We look at Christ being the truth through the idea of all of the deceit that is in the world and our own heart that can lead us astray. We see that Christ represents the eternal truth of the father that is a guard against all of the deception around and in us, that draws us away from God.
