The Greatest Of Invitations And Promises John 7:37-39
Series Studies In The Gospel of John
Our last study in the 7th chapter of John's gospel took us through verses 32-36 when Jesus was teaching in the temple during the Feast of Booths. The Pharisees heard His teaching, along with the crowd in the temple.
Some of the people believed Him, but many, including the Pharisees did not, and the religious leaders heard the grumbling and sent officers to arrest Him, because they planned to kill Him.
So Jesus, knowing that His time on earth was growing short, warned them that the time was coming when they would realize who He was, and they would desperately want to find Him, but then it would be too late because, by their refusing to believe
in Him; who He is, and who had sent Him, they could not enter His kingdom.
