Paul’s second letter to Timothy contains the last recorded words that Paul ever wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Abandoned by most of his friends and coworkers, and facing almost certain execution, Paul writes once again to Timothy urging him to come to Rome (4:9, 21).
