Lord Revive Us! (2) (Acts 2:37-42)
This sermon presents a biblical vision of revival as a sovereign, Spirit-led outpouring of God's power that begins with faithful preaching, produces genuine conviction of sin, and results in repentance, baptism, and a transformed church life rooted in doctrine, prayer, and fellowship. It emphasizes that revival is not manufactured by human methods, emotional manipulation, or religious tradition, but is God's work, initiated by His grace and sustained through the means of grace—especially repentance, prayer, and Christ-centered proclamation. The preacher calls believers to personal repentance, recovery of prayer meetings, and active witness, warning against unbelief, worldliness, pride, and resistance to conviction, which hinder God's work. Ultimately, revival is not a distant dream but a present need, requiring humble dependence on God, a willingness to forsake comfort, and a daily pursuit of Christ as the only source of true spiritual renewal, culminating in the prayer: 'Revive us, O Lord.'
