Eccl. 3:15-4:3 - To Dust Shall All Return
Series Your Breath, Your Choice
The book of Ecclesiastes doesn't spend much time discussing the afterlife. Mostly, it reports on this "life under the sun." And in this life, no matter who you are, whether you are one who oppresses or is oppressed, every single person will come to the same end: death. "You can't take it with you," as the saying goes.
But God is patient, and He continues to bring around opportunities--for those who dispense wickedness when they should be dispensing justice--to repent, and to stop their wickedness and injustice. And probably the most difficult thing to learn for such people is to be content with a low estate in life, rather than using any means (including murder, theft, and abortion and other types of injustices) at others' expense to try to prevent themselves from ever having to live a lowly, simple life.
