Prince of Shalom

"Shalom" is a Hebrew term which occurs some 250 times in the Old Testament and is commonly translated "peace." Its fuller sense is that of a soul deep sense of well being. The events which have unfolded in 2020 may have challenged a felt sense of shalom. Isaiah's prophecy includes some 25 uses of shalom in connection with the person, reign, work, covenant and message of the promised Messiah who is set forth as the "Prince of Peace (shalom)." Five basic truths concerning shalom are set forth.
