Of a Woman, Under the Law

Galatians 4:4,5, Reveal to the sensible hearer the appointed time and purpose of Christ coming into this world. By "coming" is meant taking upon himself real human nature without sin; thus, fulfilling to promise to the woman (Gen. 3:15). The second necessity for the redeemer is to fulfill the law, both of which provided a just substitute for his people's redemption - Jew and Gentile.
