Bringing forth More in Old Age!

Bringing forth More in Old Age! Psalms 92:14 The psalmist declared that the righteous will flourish and grow strong. The wicked are like grass v. 7, but the righteous are like the towering palm tree and the mighty cedar in Lebanon v. 12. They flourish because they are planted in the house of the Lord—they dwell in God's presence v. 13. The vivid image pictures the righteous as trees planted in the courts or courtyard of the temple. Worshiping and serving the Lord is the heart or center of their lives. Everything they do flows from their devotion to God.Instead of springing up quickly and then immediately being cut down like the grass, these trees—the righteous—are planted firm and strong. They flourish throughout their lives Ps. 1:3-4. Even in old age, they are fat and flourishing: green, fertile, and full of sap v. 14. They do not dry out and die, but rather continue bearing fruit, proclaiming that God is upright and just, that He is their rock or security, and that He has no wickedness in Him whatsoever v. 15. All the days of their lives, they will sing the glorious praises of God.Old age should be a time when one can say that Jesus has never been as precious! The Bible has never been as dearer. The presence of God has never been as real.
