2LCF 2.1 (2)

The Lord our God is but one only living and true God, whose subsistence is in and of himself, infinite in being and perfection, whose essence cannot be comprehended by any but himself. a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions, who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, who is immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, every way infinite. Most holy, most wise, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable and most righteous will for his own glory.

Is there, you know, the first thing we do, we say, like liberals do, there's a contradiction in Scripture. Can we admit that? No, certainly not. We could go another route. We could just say that the ontology passages just went out, right? And the other passages just cancelled, because it's just speaking so low in terms of God. So, we just cancel that out, right? And we just take this one. Well, that's not what we do either, because we know that those other texts have meaning and value to them, right? So, we understand, as we've said before, that the passage on ontology does need to take priority, okay? When Scripture says, God is invisible, or God is spirit, that takes priority over the other passages, but it doesn't cancel them out or dismiss them.
