Christ Jesus Feeds His Sheep
Series Sermons on Micah
When it says here in verse 4 – And He shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, what does it mean? It means that Christ rules over His people, His sheep, and He feeds them spiritually in all generations of this Church Age. He does this for His whole mystical spiritual and universal body in all generations to the end of the world. Verse 3 shows us that God would give up the Old Testament Jewish people to many judgments until the time when Mary was in labor and gave birth to our Lord Jesus. It was at that time that the remnant of His brethren would return and seek to fulfill this prophecy in its inception by believing in the Lord Jesus. And Christ would call His apostles. They would listen to His word to obey it. And they would lay the foundation of the New Testament Church based upon His work of righteousness and sufferings on their behalf, and ours. In this message I want to explore this definitive picture of what Christ does in this whole New Testament time until the time when His name shall be great to the ends of the earth.
