The truth of God is extremely valuable -- which is why we must actively guard the truth given unto us! And Peter helps us identify the "spots & blemishes" in our churches, in order to know who we must guard the truth against. While we are doing this, we must also make sure that there are no "spots & blemishes" in our own lives!
