The Chosen of the Lord

As grand and glorious and exceedingly significant as was the physical redemption and restoration of God's people by the Persian King, Cyrus, he was but a type and figure of an infinitely greater King whose spiritual redemption of God's people makes the merely physical redemption accomplished by Cyrus pale by comparison! Consequently, as we now turn our attention to the study of our text as recorded for us in Isaiah 42, let us carefully and prayerfully consider what God's Word has to say concerning One who is referred to as The Chosen of the Lord!
