Rev. Rick Warren ... "the chaplain of the nation"?
This was how the BBC TV commentators described him as he came to the podium to give the invocation at the inauguration of Barack Obama.
They also draped the mantle of "conservative evangelical" around his shoulders.
How tragic then to witness him 'fluff his lines' at the vital moment when a worldwide audience of 2.5 billion people was watching!
Never will he have a greater opportunity to provide an unambiguous witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The words of 2 Corinthians 4:1-7 are surely pertinent?!
