Trusting God - Eschatology 160 - No Longer Any Curse

When we are overwhelmed with the difficulties of life, it often appears that He is not in control or His control is not taking things in a direction that we like or are comfortable living under. Since God intends that we walk by faith and not by sight we must know just Whom we are trusting in. Here we continue our study of what His plane is for this creation and the one to follow. When the Lord Jesus has brought every person that has ever lived under the authority given to Him, He will then turn the kingdom back to the Father. All things will be brought into submission to Him, and therefore to the Father as well. Then since the old creation has been dealt with perfectly in accordance with the will of the Father, it will be the "time", to leave time, and to enter into eternity future, with the creation of the new heavens and the new earth. In the new heavens and the new earth there is a huge city called the heavenly Jerusalem which is the dwelling place of the bride of Christ. It is the place our Lord has prepared for His own bride and will reflect His glory. As we look to Him to fulfill His promise we are eagerly awaiting His imminent return. The great beauty of the city itself is nothing in comparison to the fact that God Himself will dwell among His people. From within this huge city reaching way up into space, the Father and the Lamb Himself will light the earth, and there will be no need for the sun or the moon. Here we are dealing with the beauty of the truth that all cursing is now past. There is no longer any curse!
