Series Jude verse-by-verse
In verses 8-10, Jude applies the three OT examples of verses 5-7 to the Intruders who are corrupting the community. They are dreamers and blasphemers. He then illustrates with an allusion to the story of Michael and Satan contending over Moses body - a story from the non-canonical book The Assumption of Moses. Why would Jude make use of such books as this and the Book of Enoch?
