Treasure in Jars of Clay

The surpassing glory of the ministry of the new covenant of the Spirit is now ours in Christ Jesus. The normal Christian life is that of daily life in the Spirit whereby we experience ever-increasing conformity to the image of Jesus, with ever-increasing glory! And yet, we do groan inwardly for we await the fulness of our adoption as "sons" that is, the redemption of our bodies. For now, "we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power is from God and not from ourselves" (II Corinthians 4:7).
