Law and Grace Together

In this passage, as Paul continues to convince the Galatians and all of his readers, that justification is of faith, he begins to set forth the intersection of law and grace. Here Paul speaks clearly and concisely, making the point that, the law was added to make crystal clear that the pre-existing promise of inheritance was given by grace through faith in Christ.
