Hell's Fury at Heaven's Heralds
Series Binding the strong man
As I have been telling you for several weeks, Satan and his demons operate covertly in many ways.
There are four main points for you to remember.
- Impression- Romans 12:2 (ESV)
- Influence- 1 Timothy 4:1 (ESV)
- Oppression- Mark 5:1-5
- Possession- Mark 5:1–5
The Christian is bombarded constantly with Impression and influence, but the Christian has Christ and His Holy Spirit inside him or her and as a new creature in Christ, they cannot be Oppressed or Possessed. Christians can however be persecuted by others who are of their father the devil and being used by him.
Quote "The wicked drink the dregs. They drink so deeply, the world is everything to them, they care for nothing else, and they find that life has its dregs, and they have to drink them. Evil conscience, fear of judgment, disappointment, the future dark, death without hope,—these are some of the dregs. Oh for grace that we may use the world, and not abuse it!—S. C."
H.A. Ironside spoke in his lectures about the abomination of desolations:
It is a mistake to suppose that the Antichrist is the papacy. We shall see very clearly, I trust, when we come to consider the latter part of the eleventh chapter, that he will be a distinct personality—a Jew by birth, who will bear rule in the land of Palestine, and be accepted by the Jews as their Messiah. He will deny the Father and the Son, and be energized and controlled by the devil. In that day apostate Christendom will join with apostate Judaism in owning allegiance to this monster of iniquity. But, according to His promise, God will, even in that day when iniquity shall come in like a flood, lift up a standard against it.
