Why so Nervous about Evangelism?

I. What is evangelism?
A. From two Greeks meaning “good” and
“message” (cf. Luke 2:10). It is good news.

  B. Proverbs 25:25 – Everyone likes good news don't be

hesitant to evangelize.

II. Three instances of sharing the good news
A. John 1:40-42 – Andrew

   2. He is not deterred by skepticism

  C. John 9—the blind beggar

   1. He witness to what he know for certain

   2. He does not get sidetracked from the crucial
       issue—pointing to Jesus

   3. As he speaks of Jesus, he grows in faith and
    understanding
