1 Peter Study - part 54

God's word speaks of the glories to follow, and here we look at how an understanding of living in the time of the glories to follow is to shape our lives for the rest of our days here on earth. As members of the family of God, we are to be obedient to the holy standards of our new family. In the Old Testament the holy of holies was off limits, except on the day of atonement, when only the high priest entered, bringing blood, first for his own sin, and then a second time bringing blood for the sins of the people. Now as a result of the finished work of Christ, believers are told to come boldly into the holy place where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, as our great high priest! Jesus Christ is the very cornerstone of the entire plan of God. He truly is to have first place in everything.
