God Protected and Prepared The Christ-Child

Beloved in the Lord: Jesus' birth was one of the most remarkable events in human history! Angels brought direct messages to Mary and Joseph separately: She, a virgin, would conceive and bear a Son! John the Baptist leaped in his mother's womb when Jesus' mother came near. (The first one to recognize Jesus was an unborn child,) Elizabeth called Mary "the mother of our Lord." Angels sang about his birth. Shepherds received messages from heaven. A star identified him to foreigners who came to worship him – to kiss him. But Herod saw Jesus as a risk instead of a Redeemer and tried to kill him.

But Jesus was sent on mission – the most important mission in the world – and his Father stopped anyone who tried to hinder his mission. Hear today how God stopped Herod from destroying Jesus' mission.
