Why Did Jesus Come? Emmanuel

Since the Garden of Eden, sin has been characterized as the desire for independence from God. But this autonomy does not lead to the satisfaction that it promises. It leads only to heartache and, ultimately, death and separation from God. We are not satisfied to the max because we don't seek our satisfaction in that which is supremely satisfying: namely, God.

If we are to have real, lasting joy that is not dependent on circumstances, we must have intimate fellowship with God, our Creator. But how can we have this after we've already chosen to live without Him?

This message explores how the coming of Jesus to earth meets this basic need of restored fellowship with God.
