The Good King

What makes a man a good ruler of God's people? Moses set out the parameters for the kind of man who would make a good king of Israel in Deuteronomy 17, but in those chapters we also learn what will make a man a good elder or leader in the church, the state, and the family in every age. In particular he gives us 7 Sound laws that were to be the LAW for leaders.

We also see all too well that the only man who has ever fulfilled those requirements to a tee was not King David, but his infinitely greater Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
