Growing in Grace

Paul uses the term "law" in these verses to mean "principle," as in 7:21-23. He contrasted the law of God operating within two frameworks or contexts: 1) the "law of the Spirit of life," meaning the law functioning in (through) Christ, empowered by the Spirit and leading to life, and 2) the "law of sin and death," meaning the law, functioning in Adam, misused by sin and resulting in death.
