Samson: The Climax

The removal of the gates of Gaza indicated the great strength of Samson. But his spiritual strength waned. Deprived of a wife he fell into entanglement with Delilah a harlot. Can Judges 16 be called a climax at all? Here we consider:

1. Samson's Betrayal
2. Samson's Humiliation
3. Samson's Recovery

We are not to expect too much from one man. He was much like Christ. He could not be sinless. in the fullness of time God would send such an Emmanuel, the eternal Word made flesh.
