Overcoming Human Ignorance

In two separate statements within three verses Paul says that the Jews fulfilled Scripture when they condemned Jesus and lay him in a grave. The ironic twist is that it was ignorance which led these Jews to fulfill Scripture not intention. While ignorance led to Jesus being put to death and placed in a grave, divine power overcame it all as God raised Christ from the dead and sovereignly sent Christ to certain witnesses who were equipped to proclaim the gospel to those overwhelmed by the darkness of sins ignorance.
