Saints & Faithful Brethren

Paul and Timothy are named as the writers of Colossians. In these two we see how God brings all different kinds of people into His church. Diverse backgrounds, united in Christ. The recipients of the letter are described as saints and faithful brethren. All Christians are "saints" because of Jesus's work rather than their own. And all Christians possess faith. Grace and peace are also desired for the hearers of the letter. They have experienced past grace and peace and will experience it in the future also.
