Please Show Me Your Glory

We begin a new series tonight entitled "Knowing God"
The prayer of Moses points to at least six things

1. The Centrality of God's Self-Revelation - "Show"
2. The Capacity of man to receive God's Self-Revelation - "Show Me"
3. The Communication of Divine Glory at the heart of God's Self-Revelation - "Thy Glory"
4. The Character of Divine Glory at the heart of God's Self-Revelation - "And he said I will make all my goodness pass before you... The Lord descended in the cloud and.. proclaimed the name of the Lord..."
5. The Confinement of the Divine Glory to an exact but not exhaustive revelation of God - "you cannot see my face"
6. The Consequence of beholding the Glory of God revealed - "..bowed and worshiped..."
