Psalm 119:121-128
Series Psalm 119 Series
We have seen throughout these studies of Psalm 119 that the first and last verses usually carry the theme of the section. This section begins with a discordant note for a believer. The believer knows his utter wickedness, even as a believer. But the believer does desire only to be righteous, Matt 5:6; it is a consuming desire given by the Holy Spirit. Thus he can declare his intent of righteousness in v. 121 and declare that what God calls right, he calls right in v.128. This is a matter for growth from the infancy of the new birth, v. 122, 123, through maturity, v.124, 125, 127. The believer is absolutely cast upon God at every point.
