The Road to Calvary

Having finished Jesus' fifth and final discourse, Matthew directs our attention to the sequence of actions that would culminate in the death and resurrection. It begins with Jesus' predictive prophecy that after two days he would be handed over to be crucified. Then we see the chief priests and elders plotting to take Him by stealth and murder him. Finally, we consider God's perfect purposes in all this.
