Know Your Enemy: The Devil

Christians tend to either ignore the devil or pay too much attention to him. His strategies against believers include deceit, distraction, and discouragement, intending to minimize our effectiveness for our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. The Scriptures do not command us to bind the devil or pronounce judgment on him, but rather to resist his temptations and stand firm in our faith, knowing that Jesus has already defeated him and Satan will meet his end in the lake of fire. Our Lord has provided us with armor to be able to both resist and stand firm against the devil, and it features the truth of God's Word, particularly the hope we have in Christ through the gospel by faith.
