“Go back? Never!”

This message was originally delivered on July 13th, 1871.

A common experience to all believers is the temptation to abandon the Christian life and to return to the old “country”. Mr. Spurgeon establishes the argument of the universality of such opportunities and balances the sermon with the message of God’s divine grace. “(H)e has prepared for them a city.”. May we all know a great measure of perseverance in our earthly sojourns. May we not give in to the temptation to return to old ways, going back to the old country.
