Setting the Stage For Daniel

God used the man Daniel as His spokesman to reveal details of His plan for the future of mankind and the nations. Some of those future events from Daniel's perspective transpired from his place and time in Babylon through the history of between the old and new testaments. The rest of the events are yet future even from our perspective today. An overriding theme through the book is God's rule as the Most High God over all the affairs of mankind as His purposes are carried to fruition according to His divinely determined timeline. God being immutable continues to be sovereign over all and is yet moving the timeline of all earth's history along as He so wills. No event, no thing, is out of His control, catches Him by surprise. or happens by chance.
