The Coming of God's Kingdom
Series The Gospel of Luke
Any Christian who is looking for praise, honor, and glory in this life may be making the same mistake as the Jews of Christ’s day, who were looking for splendor and dominion in their Messiah, not a suffering servant (e.g, Isa 42; Isa 53). God’s kingdom will be radiantly splendid – at the coming of the Savior at the last day. Until that time, the kingdom of God exists among us in two forms: spiritually and invisibly, through vital and mystical union with Christ the Head of the Church; and physically and visibly, in the assembly of believers, the church.
