The Tests of True Christian Religion: Control Your Speech, Care for Orphans and Widow

Many say Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship. But the Bible does call it a religion in this text, a true pure undefiled religion that is based upon a relationship with Christ and His righteousness, not ours. This is in contrast to false man-made religion based on rules, ritual, righteous deeds, etc. The religion that God calls us to in this text is Christ-centered holiness ("keeping unstained by the world ... controlling our words") and Christ-centered compassion and care ("orphans and widows").
