Holy Citizens

Peter begins to provide concrete details for how to live like an exile by explaining how Christians are to relate to the authority figures of this present world. In this first case he addresses how Christians must relate to civil authorities. We look at the role of civil government, the role of the Christian under civil government, and the role of the Christian in society. We will see that even though Christians no longer belong to this present world, they are still called to be good, obedient, and respectful citizens in order to silence the ignorant and glorify God. We conclude with some brief applications to keep in mind this election season.
