God's Faithfulness to an Unfaithful People

Judges chapter 2 teaches us to look at the history of Israel, and even all of history including our own, through God's perspective rather than our own. Here, human sinfulness and God's judgment serve as the backdrop to illustrate the mercy of God and the accomplishment of His sovereign purposes for His people, ultimately through Jesus Christ.
