Without Honor...

God had affirmed His love for Israel in the past section, but now Malachi turns to the disdain of the people, beginning with the priests, of God.

What had the Lord done wrong to them? Why did the priesthood turn form Him? Such is what Malachi will answer. The bottom line is that most people actually hate God. They love to be beaten down, abused, and try to find “their own way,” which, by the way, leads to destruction.
