The Death and Burial of Christ

Today we want to look at the death and burial of Christ. It is easy to just pass over this section. There was so much that happened leading up to the cross, and then on the cross, that we don’t take the time to stop and look at what we see here. It seems so anticlimactic after watching the crucifixion. We have the big signs, the denials of Peter, the cry from the Jews with the curse, the darkness, the earthquake, the veil in the temple, the sayings of Christ, and the salvation of the thief. Yet Christ fulfills prophecies at every point from His supernatural death to the resurrection. Just because it isn’t as obviously spectacular, doesn’t make it any less important. God is at work to fulfill every word He has spoken. It will be done. Join us as we look at Christ’s death and burial.
