The Lamb of God

John the Baptist was a theological bridge between the Old and New Testaments. Between the old order of God’s old covenant people—and the new order of the new covenant saints whom God would call out of every nation… In pointing out the Lord Jesus and identifying Him as the Lamb of God, John the Baptist was reminding God’s people of the many prophetic pictures that God had given His people in the OT Scriptures.
