2nd Thessalonians 2:6-8

The second reason of three reasons you are not experiencing the Day of the Lord

Reason # 2—Because there are certain events that are taking place right now

1. Impersonal: And you know what [neuter] restrains him now (emphatic), so that in his (the restrainer's?) time he will be revealed.—2:6
2. Personal: For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work [energeo]; only he [masculine] who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way—2:7
3. and then (at that time) that lawless one will be revealed (by God)—2:8
