The Drama of Marriage — The Commands

Having established the basis and background of marriage. And having
reminded the listener that every marriage is marred and affected by sin; we now look to the
commands attached to this institution. Specifically, as we step onto the divinely wrought stage
what is expected by God of both the man and woman? What is interesting is how the things
commanded are broad principles rather than specific, narrow commands. These are the
principles, in light of the gospel, by which we are to order our marriages. They are the borders in
which we live with our spouses before God, man, and the rulers in the heavenly places.
