Divine Discipline of God's People

The persecution and hardship that the Hebrew Christians had been experiencing and that was influencing them to waiver in their commitment to Christ, was really an indication of God's love for them as his sons (and daughters). It's goal is to train them in the development of righteousness as they submit to God's loving and sovereign hand in their present trials, as well as encourage them to forge ahead in their dedication and service to Jesus.
